“Best food in Tobermory....”
First off - Book this in advance as soon as you arrive in Tobermory as it tends to book out very quickly.
Also - it is around a 10-15 minute walk from the main street (all up-hill) so best to wear trainers (most people do in Tobermory due to the nature of the island).
Great views from the windows and outside dining area on terrace when the weather is good.
Service was excellent, very friendly staff and excellent chef (think she was Portuguese).
We both had crab claws to start - excellent in garlic and white wine. Presentation good, and seafood very fresh.
We then (both of us) had the venison - which was super tender and potato cake gratin was delicious.
Following on we had the pavlova - be warned this is enough for 2 people to share!!!! It was delicious with lovely fruit compote on top (all local fruit also).
We had a bottle of red to compliment dinner (can't recall the name but it was Itallian and actually had a Scottish sounding title) - and it was great - especially with the venison.
Total bill (with 2 espresso's) came to £75. Which was extremely good in Tobermory!!!!!
Best meal and service we had on our stay in Mull and would highly recommend it!

Stopped off for lunch after a long walk. Excellent food, great flavours. Even the horseradish sauce was home made. Fantastic experience.

This has to be one of the best places to go for a bite to eat on the island.
My wife and I have been visiting the Scotish Islands over the last 15 years and found this cafe to be a great stop at any time throught the day.
One thing I would say is that the portions are massive, so dont order too much.
I sampled the seared scollops which were cooked to perfection, and my wife had the Split Langoustines. Both meals were more than reasonably priced for what we had to eat.
The wine list is endless with every wine from A to Z.
After a visit to the gallery, this is a definate place you must attend.
The staff are really welcoming and extremely pleasant to talk to.  Helix Cumbria (TripAdvisor)
